Let the Ride Begin!

Dear Readers,
In honor of the one year anniversary if our "unscheduled overnight on the PCT" I will be re posting the story one segment each day for the next week. If you read about our adventure last year...please feel free to skip it. If you have NOT heard our story before...you might want to take notes...cause we never thought it could happen to us either ;)

North Fork of the Pacific Crest Trail to Live Oak Spring
Length:12 miles /Lunch stop
Continuing 5 miles to the Indian Palm Canyon...finishing the last 4 miles on the Indian Potrero to the Indian Canyon staging area.
Total Length: 21 miles

Elevation Gain: 2,ooo ft.

Difficulty: Strenuous

Estimated ride time: 7 hours

Mounted Departure Time: 9:30 am

Gear: Each rider to carry saddle and pommel bags.
Brown Saddle Bags to carry water, food emergency gear and easy boot.
Red Bags carry emergency gear, red collapsible water bowl to water horses.


Brown canvas double pommel bags carries trail snacks, TP, and other easy to reach items. Brown leather bag carries 2 beverages for easy access.
This group rides prepared!!!

    Thanks for your comments on my bedbug post - I also felt that the Choice Hotels would want to know if one of their franchisees was not living up to their standards. We will see how they respond. I mailed the letter today!

  5. If I ever end up doing a long trail like that I want to ride with you. You have all the bases covered. I could learn a few things from you I'm sure.
