HOPPY Easter!

For the 1st time in about 25 years...the Easter Bunny will be visiting our house! Yup...we have 4 year old Jed with us in the desert and he was promised that the bunny would find him here ;) The week before Jed came...I went to the "bunny store" and was ready for the special occasion before Jed arrived.

Today the eggs were boiled then Jed asked for the names of all the special people in his life to be added to an egg! Unfortunately...I forgot the vinegar so I had to use Lemon juice from a lemon on our tree. Yup...I just went out and picked one and squeezed!

Easter morning the Easter Bunny left Jed a Spiderman Easter Basket...and a huge STUFFY BUNNY!!! Jed was sad when he found out the E.B. had hid all his colored eggs...but he soon found them and was so HOPPY!!!

First Baby Dolls!

Do you remember your 1st Baby Doll? The first one that I remember was one of those hard plastic ones...I am sure it was a Christmas present from our parents or grandparents because my sisters got one each too. Because I was ( and still am) 3 years younger than them, they were both very quick to name their new Baby Dolls something that was very cool...like Suzy or Debbie and little me could not think of a name for my new special Baby. I must have been quite distraught and because "I" was the Baby of the family our Papa took me in his arms and tried to comfort me. He asked me what was the matter and I told him. He then said in that special way Grandpa's talk..."Well why don't you name her after me???" Of course that made no sense to me and I said I can't name my Baby Papa"! And my Papa said..." My name is Oren, how about if you call her Orena???" So...my poor Baby Doll lived with the name of Orena all of her time with me. She suffered bad hair cuts...finger nail polish and bites on her cheek, all from me!

Here are some real Baby's with their 1st Baby Doll that Zsa Zsa and Papa gave them for Christmas this year!

The Rosette was not sure what it was ...but liked her anyway! ( 8 months...Rosebud is holding her.)

Miss Rosa Jewel...the big one year old knew right away that this was her new Baby! And even knew to burp her!!!

Happy...Merry...Holidays!

On our last ride the Bossman and I encounter the most unusual creatures on our ride. We were up high...almost to the snow line when we saw these looking out from the trees at us!

This one seemed friendly enough...but was it???

This one did not seem friendly...even kind of cranky!!!

But on closer examination, the Bossman and the Desert Rose realized that they were only Desert Reinhorses...nothing to be afraid of at all!!!

Christmas Rose Garden!

The Desert Rose is soooooooooooo looking forward to seeing these rose blossoms at Christmas time!

Last year they were snowed in...they were sick...and the Rosa Jewel was born on Christmas Day so we were not able to see them at Christmas time and did not get to celebrate with them till the middle of January. I also did not get to go up and see my family on Christmas Day which has been our tradition for almost 20 years!!! Please don't let it snow...don't let it snow...don't let it snow!!!

Cowgirl Xmas Gifts!!!

Cowgirl Xmas gifts...waiting to be opened! The large white and black one in the back is for the Bossman! ( Another blogg will tell about this phobia of his)

The brown and green ones are for desert Buckaroo's.

However the red one is for this girl and she knows it!!!

This is Cowgirl...she rides with us when it is not too hot in the desert!
