Do you remember your 1st Baby Doll? The first one that I remember was one of those hard plastic ones...I am sure it was a Christmas present from our parents or grandparents because my sisters got one each too. Because I was ( and still am) 3 years younger than them, they were both very quick to name their new Baby Dolls something that was very cool...like Suzy or Debbie and little me could not think of a name for my new special Baby. I must have been quite distraught and because "I" was the Baby of the family our Papa took me in his arms and tried to comfort me. He asked me what was the matter and I told him. He then said in that special way Grandpa's talk..."Well why don't you name her after me???" Of course that made no sense to me and I said I can't name my Baby Papa"! And my Papa said..." My name is Oren, how about if you call her
Orena???" So...my poor Baby Doll lived with the name of
Orena all of her time with me. She suffered bad hair cuts...finger nail polish and bites on her cheek, all from me!
Here are some real Baby's with their 1st Baby Doll that
Zsa Zsa and Papa gave them for Christmas this year!
The Rosette was not sure what it was ...but liked her anyway! ( 8 months...Rosebud is holding her.)
Miss Rosa Jewel...the big one year old knew right away that this was her new Baby!
And even knew to burp her!!!
Do you remember your 1st Baby Doll...and it's name???
Your Desert Rose!
Cute!! I do not remember....I bet my mom does, though! I think it was something like "Mama Baby" ?? Dusty Devoe? Help me out here! :)
ReplyDeleteGot your email about not being able to comment on my, and some others' blogs. Not sure what is going on? I've heard of that happening before....maybe it's a browser issue?
My first baby was a rubber doll that was my mother's, and I can't remember her name. But I bet my mom does.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember my baby dolls or if I named them however I do have a mr.bear. He was the first thing I was ever given and is still on my headboard today.
ReplyDeleteJust adorable little rose babies. Mine was called Besty Wetsy, I loved her.....until my brother popped her head off! I'm still mad at him for hat one!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why the t didn't type? Supposed to say that one!
ReplyDeleteMy first baby doll was named Jolie. I'm pretty sure my mom helped me name her - pretty cute name for a baby doll, if you ask me! My mom gave Grace a doll that looks a lot like Jolie, but she is not one that we play with yet.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I don't remember my very first, but I'm pretty sure it was a Cabbage Patch Doll! For some reason I want to say her name was Charlie! Those babies are so stinkin cute!
ReplyDeleteI think I had a Betsy Wetsy too! Also remember the Cindy dolls we got. I don't remember any other names. I sure wish I had all my dolls, and Barbie too. Pony Girl, I do not remember any names you gave them either.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful baby dolls, they real ones and the fake! I don't remember my first one but I always got a new one for Christmas. I don't have any anymore. I hung on to all my stuffed animals instead. I probably have 10 of my favorites. That's after I weeded some out the last few years. They're in a box in the closet, being put to good use, right!
ReplyDeleteAll these Betsy Wetsy's!!! Honestly, I have to pee now! LOLO I think mine was named Chatty Cathy, she had a string you pull and she had very creative sayings... but on one of our trips back to Montana to visit relatives, she was left in the car, and she melted. :-(
