Lizzy Rose Ride Again!!!

You all saw...(I hope) my Christmas post with Lizzy Rose riding Jesse! Well...I found a new way for Lizzy to ride Jesse with me that will be much safer for her at this years Cowboy Christmas at the NFR in Las Vegas. I watched the video on this new product and bought one hoping it would work for Jesse, Lizzy and me!!!
Woo Hoo...it works!
The following video was takern by a young wrangler at my desert stables and I forgot to mention to him not to turn the camera! Sorry you have to look sideways :(((
Now...as you ALL know, Jesse will do ANYTHING I ask him to do! And so will Lady...within reason ;) I suspect, she will see no REASON in that "puppy basket" should be attached to HER saddle horn. Anyone out there wanna take those odds???
Happy Trails!

The Desert Rose Wouldn't be Caught Dead!

This past summer I was so fortunate to be able to have lots of rides with my Sissy's Dusty Devoe and a Cowgirl's Grace! We rode the most from their stables. I would load up The King and Little Lady and off we would go 3 hours up the Pacific Crest I-5 headed north. The King and Little Lady would have deluxe accommodations that the PNW Doc would have designated for them. We would unload the horses and most of the time Dusty Devoe's Cowboy would meet me at the stables to take me to my mothers so that I could leave my truck and trailer hooked up. Our mother would cook for all of us and we would hang out with her and our father after dinner.

Our trips to the stables always included a Starbucks run and most days we packed a lunch to be eaten on the trail or once we got back to the stables. We also had a frozen lemonade treat in our saddle bags! Just before my last trip up...Dusty Devoe's called me to say that hunters had been up in the Enchanted Forest and that they had bought ORANGE vests to wear when riding, did I want her to get me one??? I think I said something like...I wouldn't be caught dead wearing one of those...it's against my Cowgirl fashion sense! But then I realized...if I DID wear that ugly ORANGE vest...I would not be caught dead wearing it!!!

There are many more trails for us to discover next year but here are the pictures from one of our last rides together in the Enchanted and Prime Evil Forests!

A Cowgirl Wedding!

This last spring, my loving husband and I were invited to attend the wedding of the Cowpoke, aka Cowboy H from Holman Ranch! Mama H was the bride! I posted about them practicing their dance for their wedding the day we got "winded out" from our ride!!!

So with as little as possible narration...here is the most wonderful "Cowgirl Wedding" any of you could imagine!!!

I have decided to start with the reception first...you know build up the suspense before the climax! My loving husband and I arrived at the venue and could not believe how absoulutely "Cowgirl Elegant" it was! I will post several pictures of the "Barn" set for the reception!

The grub was delicious, Mama H's mama made some of it!

I will only tell you that the groom...has "ring issues"! I would have put it through his nose if it had been me!
Mama H did what we all would do "IF" we had it to do all over again!!!

Desert Stables Buckaroo's at our table!!!

The Desert Rose and her Loving Husband! The Desert Rose and Cowboy H share a joke! Must have been a dirty joke...someone is blushing!!! Mama H shares some love with some stable buckaroo's! Too well behaved here...no one got cake in the face. Must be true love!!!

First dance!!! The Desert Rose and Cowboy H pose for the camera!!! These 2 just can't go ANYWHERE without dressing the part!!! Happy Faces!!! First Kiss!!! Mr. & Mrs. Cowboy H!!!

So this is how I filled out the questionare!

What should Jeff and Jesslyn name their 1st child?

I said "JESSE"!!! (works for a boy or girl, named after mommy and JESSE!)

Where will they be living in 10 years?

I said "The PNW"! (near the Desert Rose!)

What is my favorite memory of Jeff and Jesslyn?

I can't remember...what I said, Mama H...help us out here!!!

Yes...without a doubt, this was the most amazing, full of love, COWGIRL wedding ever!!!

The Desert Rose Buckle!!!

When my Loving Husband and I were in Hawaii he said he wanted to buy me something "nice". Now...my Loving Husband just loves to buy me jewelry and since our hotel had several jewelry stores inside of it, we stopped to browse several times at all the lovely jewels they had to offer. And as tempting as some items were...I just couldn't settle on what it was that I may want. Part of the reason I am sure is that I already have beautiful jewelry he has given me and don't seem to wear it all enough. I tend to wear the same things over and over. Also my lifestyle has changed over the years and I don't attend the same kinds of events that I used to.

However...I do still enjoy new "Cowgirl Bling" and have indulged in some very unique items over the last few years. But there was still one elusive item that I have coveted now for a few years. While on my "Cowgirl" shopping trip in Hawaii...I saw exactly what I had been coveting.

I decided to let my Loving Husband buy it for me...and he was happy that I was so excited to finally be the proud owner of...The Desert Rose Buckle!

Several of my blogger friends have told me about this buckle, knowing I think that someday I could call it my own!

"Cowgirl Purses"!

Several months ago my dear friend Luanne/Blue Eyed Tango posted about her closet. She had just remodeled her home and she now showed us all... what is, a perfect closet. Not too much...not too little. This however, it sure intimidated me because I have way too much of EVERYTHING!!!
I have only posted once about my "closet" and I had the most comments I have ever had for a post! What does that tell you...we all love what is in "the closet"!
So ...with a little bit of a RED face... here are my "Cowgirl purses"!

But...where does a Cowgirl start??? How does she show (off ) her purses, that every fashion magazine now says is the "tell all" about someone??? How about one at a time.

I decided to start with one on my "signature" purses. This purse pretty much tell it all. I am a cowgirl but it has just enough bling. You can't see it in this picture but the white on the purse is shaped like the great state of Texas!

This purse was made by the same company that made the 1st one. This is my favorite going out to dinner purse! This is a brown suede Scully purse and I also have the matching brown embroidered sweatshirt!

This is A PINTO BELLY ORIGINAL purse. It's neat cause you can buy different picture inserts or use one of your own!
A gift from the ROSA, my satin Dale Evan's purse does not get to go out much because the satin is fragile and could get stained easily. However she does get center front position in my purse display in my closet!!!

This purse is my FAVORITE cocktail/black tie purse. The rhinestones on top and the many different colors in the picture blend with almost any outfit!

This canvas tote is great for every day...although I don't use it much.
This black canvas purse does see a lot of action!

Great for out to dinner...too little for everyday or I would use this one a lot!

Not true cowgirl purses...however the Dior is a saddle bag and they are DENIM!

Another great out to dinner purse!

Yup...you guessed it, another out to dinner purse although I have the matching wallet that I always carry!I just adore this purse and use it when ever I don't need to carry "all my shit"!

This is the purse that gets soooooo many compliments! It's part of a family!

This purse is more delicate because of the suede...I am very careful where I take it!

Double duty for this one...cocktails or makeup bag!

The happy family!!!

I just love this purse...use it all the time. The Rosebud and I both got purses from this company at "Cowboy Xmas" last year. You pick your bag...then pick you strap. I could have gotten 20 or so of these great purses...but decided on 2!!!
This is the other bag I got...love the turquoise strap!!!
2nd year purchase at "Cowboy Xmas"!

1st and 3rd year "Cowboy Xmas" purchases!

So here is a probably my absolute favorite bag! Yes..."Cowboy Xmas" last year. I will be showing several different shots so you can see all the pockets and zippers!!!

The woolly hair is a bit fragile...don't want it to get to frizzy on me so I use this with care!

And last...but not least, The Desert Rose signature red leather Rose purse!

The leather on this purse is as soft as the butt of the Rosette!!!

Thank you for taking this tour of my "Cowgirl Purses"! Of course... I have other non "Cowgirl Purses" but they will not get the fame of a blog post any time soon!
